2. "This is the law concerning the person afflicted with a skin disease on the day of his cleansing. He is to be brought to the priest,
|
2. This H2063 shall be H1961 the law H8451 of the leper H6879 in the day H3117 of his cleansing H2893 : He shall be brought H935 unto H413 the priest H3548 :
|
|
3. who will go outside the camp and examine him. If the skin disease has disappeared from the afflicted person,
|
3. And the priest H3548 shall go forth H3318 out of H413 H4480 H2351 the camp H4264 ; and the priest H3548 shall look H7200 , and, behold H2009 , if the plague H5061 of leprosy H6883 be healed H7495 in H4480 the leper H6879 ;
|
|
4. the priest will order that two live clean birds, cedar wood, scarlet yarn, and hyssop be brought for the one who is to be cleansed.
|
4. Then shall the priest H3548 command H6680 to take H3947 for him that is to be cleansed H2891 two H8147 birds H6833 alive H2416 and clean H2889 , and cedar H730 wood H6086 , and scarlet H8144 H8438 , and hyssop H231 :
|
|
5. Then the priest will order that one of the birds be slaughtered over fresh water in a clay pot.
|
5. And the priest H3548 shall command H6680 H853 that one H259 of the birds H6833 be killed H7819 in H413 an earthen H2789 vessel H3627 over H5921 running H2416 water H4325 :
|
|
6. He is to take the live bird together with the cedar wood, scarlet yarn, and hyssop, and dip them all into the blood of the bird that was slaughtered over the fresh water.
|
6. As for H853 the living H2416 bird H6833 , he shall take H3947 it , and the cedar H730 wood H6086 , and the scarlet H8144 H8438 , and the hyssop H231 , and shall dip H2881 them and the living H2416 bird H6833 in the blood H1818 of the bird H6833 that was killed H7819 over H5921 the running H2416 water H4325 :

7. He will then sprinkle the blood seven times on the one who is to be cleansed from the skin disease. He is to pronounce him clean and release the live bird over the open countryside.
|
7. And he shall sprinkle H5137 upon H5921 him that is to be cleansed H2891 from H4480 the leprosy H6883 seven H7651 times H6471 , and shall pronounce him clean H2891 , and shall let H853 the living H2416 bird H6833 loose H7971 into H5921 the open H6440 field H7704 .

8. The one who is to be cleansed must wash his clothes, shave off all his hair, and bathe with water; he is clean. Afterwards he may enter the camp, but he must remain outside his tent for seven days.
|
8. And he that is to be cleansed H2891 shall wash H3526 H853 his clothes H899 , and shave off H1548 H853 all H3605 his hair H8181 , and wash H7364 himself in water H4325 , that he may be clean H2891 : and after that H310 he shall come H935 into H413 the camp H4264 , and shall tarry H3427 abroad H4480 H2351 out of his tent H168 seven H7651 days H3117 .

9. He is to shave off all his hair again on the seventh day: his head, his beard, his eyebrows, and the rest of his hair. He is to wash his clothes and bathe himself with water; he is clean.
|
9. But it shall be H1961 on the seventh H7637 day H3117 , that he shall shave all his hair off H1548 H853 H3605 H8181 H853 his head H7218 and his beard H2206 and his eyebrows H1354 H5869 , even all H3605 his hair H8181 he shall shave off H1548 : and he shall wash H3526 H853 his clothes H899 , also he shall wash H7364 H853 his flesh H1320 in water H4325 , and he shall be clean H2891 .

10. "On the eighth day he must take two unblemished male lambs, an unblemished year-old ewe lamb, a grain offering of three quarts of fine flour mixed with olive oil, and one-third of a quart of olive oil.
|
10. And on the eighth H8066 day H3117 he shall take H3947 two H8147 he lambs H3532 without blemish H8549 , and one H259 ewe lamb H3535 of the first H1323 year H8141 without blemish H8549 , and three H7969 tenth deals H6241 of fine flour H5560 for a meat offering H4503 , mingled H1101 with oil H8081 , and one H259 log H3849 of oil H8081 .

11. The priest who performs the cleansing will place the person who is to be cleansed, together with these offerings, before the LORD at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
|
11. And the priest H3548 that maketh him clean H2891 shall present H5975 H853 the man H376 that is to be made clean H2891 , and those things, before H6440 the LORD H3068 , at the door H6607 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150 :
|
|
12. The priest is to take one male lamb and present it as a restitution offering, along with the one-third quart of olive oil, and he must wave them as a presentation offering before the LORD.
|
12. And the priest H3548 shall take H3947 H853 one H259 he lamb H3532 , and offer H7126 him for a trespass offering H817 , and the log H3849 of oil H8081 , and wave H5130 them for a wave offering H8573 before H6440 the LORD H3068 :
|
|
13. He is to slaughter the male lamb at the place in the sanctuary area where the sin offering and burnt offering are slaughtered, for like the sin offering, the restitution offering belongs to the priest; it is especially holy.
|
13. And he shall slay H7819 H853 the lamb H3532 in the place H4725 where H834 he shall kill H7819 H853 the sin offering H2403 and the burnt offering H5930 , in the holy H6944 place H4725 : for H3588 as the sin offering H2403 is the priest H3548 's, so is the trespass offering H817 : it H1931 is most holy H6944 H6944 :

14. The priest is to take some of the blood from the restitution offering and put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.
|
14. And the priest H3548 shall take H3947 some of the blood H4480 H1818 of the trespass offering H817 , and the priest H3548 shall put H5414 it upon H5921 the tip H8571 of the right H3233 ear H241 of him that is to be cleansed H2891 , and upon H5921 the thumb H931 of his right H3233 hand H3027 , and upon H5921 the great toe H931 of his right H3233 foot H7272 :

15. Then the priest will take some of the one-third of a quart of olive oil and pour it into his left palm.
|
15. And the priest H3548 shall take H3947 some of the log H4480 H3849 of oil H8081 , and pour H3332 it into H5921 the palm H3709 of his own H3548 left hand H8042 :
|
|
16. The priest will dip his right finger into the oil in his left palm and sprinkle some of the oil with his finger seven times before the LORD.
|
16. And the priest H3548 shall dip H2881 H853 his right H3233 finger H676 in H4480 the oil H8081 that H834 is in H5921 his left H8042 hand H3709 , and shall sprinkle H5137 of H4480 the oil H8081 with his finger H676 seven H7651 times H6471 before H6440 the LORD H3068 :

17. From the oil remaining in his palm the priest will put some on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on top of the blood of the restitution offering.
|
17. And of the rest H4480 H3499 of the oil H8081 that H834 is in H5921 his hand H3709 shall the priest H3548 put H5414 upon H5921 the tip H8571 of the right H3233 ear H241 of him that is to be cleansed H2891 , and upon H5921 the thumb H931 of his right H3233 hand H3027 , and upon H5921 the great toe H931 of his right H3233 foot H7272 , upon H5921 the blood H1818 of the trespass offering H817 :

18. What is left of the oil in the priest's palm he is to put on the head of the one to be cleansed. In this way the priest will make atonement for him before the LORD.
|
18. And the remnant H3498 of the oil H8081 that H834 is in H5921 the priest H3548 's hand H3709 he shall pour H5414 upon H5921 the head H7218 of him that is to be cleansed H2891 : and the priest H3548 shall make an atonement H3722 for H5921 him before H6440 the LORD H3068 .

19. The priest must sacrifice the sin offering and make atonement for the one to be purified from his uncleanness. Afterwards he will slaughter the burnt offering.
|
19. And the priest H3548 shall offer H6213 H853 the sin offering H2403 , and make an atonement H3722 for H5921 him that is to be cleansed H2891 from his uncleanness H4480 H2932 ; and afterward H310 he shall kill H7819 H853 the burnt offering H5930 :
|
|
20. The priest is to offer the burnt offering and the grain offering on the altar. The priest will make atonement for him, and he will be clean.
|
20. And the priest H3548 shall offer H5927 H853 the burnt offering H5930 and the meat offering H4503 upon the altar H4196 : and the priest H3548 shall make an atonement H3722 for H5921 him , and he shall be clean H2891 .
|
|
21. "But if he is poor and cannot afford these, he is to take one male lamb for a restitution offering to be waved in order to make atonement for him, along with two quarts of fine flour mixed with olive oil for a grain offering, one-third of a quart of olive oil,
|
21. And if H518 he H1931 be poor H1800 , and cannot get so much H369 H3027 H5381 ; then he shall take H3947 one H259 lamb H3532 for a trespass offering H817 to be waved H8573 , to make an atonement H3722 for H5921 him , and one H259 tenth deal H6241 of fine flour H5560 mingled H1101 with oil H8081 for a meat offering H4503 , and a log H3849 of oil H8081 ;

22. and two turtledoves or two young pigeons, whatever he can afford, one to be a sin offering and the other a burnt offering.
|
22. And two H8147 turtledoves H8449 , or H176 two H8147 young H1121 pigeons H3123 , such as H834 he is able to get H5381 H3027 ; and the one H259 shall be H1961 a sin offering H2403 , and the other H259 a burnt offering H5930 .
|
|
23. On the eighth day he is to bring these things for his cleansing to the priest at the entrance to the tent of meeting before the LORD.
|
23. And he shall bring H935 them on the eighth H8066 day H3117 for his cleansing H2893 unto H413 the priest H3548 , unto H413 the door H6607 of the tabernacle H168 of the congregation H4150 , before H6440 the LORD H3068 .
|
|
24. The priest will take the male lamb for the restitution offering and the one-third of a quart of olive oil, and wave them as a presentation offering before the LORD.
|
24. And the priest H3548 shall take H3947 H853 the lamb H3532 of the trespass offering H817 , and the log H3849 of oil H8081 , and the priest H3548 shall wave H5130 them for a wave offering H8573 before H6440 the LORD H3068 :

|
25. After he slaughters the male lamb for the restitution offering, the priest is to take some of the blood of the restitution offering and put it on the right earlobe of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.
|
25. And he shall kill H7819 H853 the lamb H3532 of the trespass offering H817 , and the priest H3548 shall take H3947 some of the blood H4480 H1818 of the trespass offering H817 , and put H5414 it upon H5921 the tip H8571 of the right H3233 ear H241 of him that is to be cleansed H2891 , and upon H5921 the thumb H931 of his right H3233 hand H3027 , and upon H5921 the great toe H931 of his right H3233 foot H7272 :

26. Then the priest will pour some of the oil into his left palm.
|
26. And the priest H3548 shall pour H3332 of H4480 the oil H8081 into H5921 the palm H3709 of his own H3548 left hand H8042 :
|
|
27. With his right finger the priest will sprinkle some of the oil in his left palm seven times before the LORD.
|
27. And the priest H3548 shall sprinkle H5137 with his right H3233 finger H676 some of H4480 the oil H8081 that H834 is in H5921 his left H8042 hand H3709 seven H7651 times H6471 before H6440 the LORD H3068 :
|
|
28. The priest will also put some of the oil in his palm on the right earlobe of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the same place as the blood of the restitution offering.
|
28. And the priest H3548 shall put H5414 of H4480 the oil H8081 that H834 is in H5921 his hand H3709 upon H5921 the tip H8571 of the right H3233 ear H241 of him that is to be cleansed H2891 , and upon H5921 the thumb H931 of his right H3233 hand H3027 , and upon H5921 the great toe H931 of his right H3233 foot H7272 , upon H5921 the place H4725 of the blood H1818 of the trespass offering H817 :

29. What is left of the oil in the priest's palm he is to put on the head of the one to be cleansed to make atonement for him before the LORD.
|
29. And the rest H3498 of H4480 the oil H8081 that H834 is in H5921 the priest H3548 's hand H3709 he shall put H5414 upon H5921 the head H7218 of him that is to be cleansed H2891 , to make an atonement H3722 for H5921 him before H6440 the LORD H3068 .

|
30. He must then sacrifice one type of what he can afford, either the turtledoves or young pigeons,
|
30. And he shall offer H6213 H853 the one H259 of H4480 the turtledoves H8449 , or H176 of H4480 the young H1121 pigeons H3123 , such as H4480 H834 he can get H5381 H3027 ;
|
|
31. one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, sacrificing what he can afford together with the grain offering. In this way the priest will make atonement before the LORD for the one to be cleansed.
|
31. Even H853 such as H834 he is able to get H5381 H3027 , H853 the one H259 for a sin offering H2403 , and the other H259 for a burnt offering H5930 , with H5921 the meat offering H4503 : and the priest H3548 shall make an atonement H3722 for H5921 him that is to be cleansed H2891 before H6440 the LORD H3068 .

32. This is the law for someone who has a skin disease and cannot afford the cost of his cleansing."
|
32. This H2063 is the law H8451 of him in whom H834 is the plague H5061 of leprosy H6883 , whose H834 hand H3027 is not H3808 able to get H5381 that which pertaineth to his cleansing H2893 .
|
|
33. The LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron:
|
33. And the LORD H3068 spoke H1696 unto H413 Moses H4872 and unto H413 Aaron H175 , saying H559 ,
|
|
34. "When you enter the land of Canaan that I am giving you as a possession, and I place a mildew contamination in a house in the land you possess,
|
34. When H3588 ye be come H935 into H413 the land H776 of Canaan H3667 , which H834 I H589 give H5414 to you for a possession H272 , and I put H5414 the plague H5061 of leprosy H6883 in a house H1004 of the land H776 of your possession H272 ;
|
|
35. the owner of the house is to come and tell the priest: Something like mildew contamination has appeared in my house.
|
35. And he that owneth H834 the house H1004 shall come H935 and tell H5046 the priest H3548 , saying H559 , It seemeth H7200 to me there is as it were a plague H5061 in the house H1004 :
|
|
36. The priest must order them to clear the house before he enters to examine the contamination, so that nothing in the house becomes unclean. Afterwards the priest will come to examine the house.
|
36. Then the priest H3548 shall command H6680 that they empty H6437 H853 the house H1004 , before H2962 the priest H3548 go H935 into it to see H7200 H853 the plague H5061 , that all H3605 that H834 is in the house H1004 be not H3808 made unclean H2930 : and afterward H310 H3651 the priest H3548 shall go in H935 to see H7200 H853 the house H1004 :

37. He will examine it, and if the contamination in the walls of the house consists of green or red indentations that appear to be beneath the surface of the wall,
|
37. And he shall look on H7200 H853 the plague H5061 , and, behold H2009 , if the plague H5061 be in the walls H7023 of the house H1004 with hollow streaks H8258 , greenish H3422 or H176 reddish H125 , which in sight H4758 are lower H8217 than H4480 the wall H7023 ;
|
|
38. the priest is to go outside the house to its doorway and quarantine the house for seven days.
|
38. Then the priest H3548 shall go out H3318 of H4480 the house H1004 to H413 the door H6607 of the house H1004 , and shut up H5462 H853 the house H1004 seven H7651 days H3117 :
|
|
39. The priest is to return on the seventh day and examine it. If the contamination has spread on the walls of the house,
|
39. And the priest H3548 shall come again H7725 the seventh H7637 day H3117 , and shall look H7200 : and, behold H2009 , if the plague H5061 be spread H6581 in the walls H7023 of the house H1004 ;
|
|
40. the priest must order that the stones with the contamination be pulled out and thrown into an unclean place outside the city.
|
40. Then the priest H3548 shall command H6680 that they take away H2502 H853 the stones H68 in which H834 H2004 the plague H5061 is , and they shall cast H7993 them into H413 an unclean H2931 place H4725 without H4480 H2351 H413 the city H5892 :
|
|
41. He is to have the inside of the house completely scraped, and the plaster that is scraped off must be dumped in an unclean place outside the city.
|
41. And he shall cause the house H1004 to be scraped H7106 within H4480 H1004 round about H5439 , and they shall pour out H8210 H853 the dust H6083 that H834 they scrape off H7096 without H413 H4480 H2351 the city H5892 into H413 an unclean H2931 place H4725 :
|
|
42. Then they must take different stones to replace the former ones and take additional plaster to replaster the house.
|
42. And they shall take H3947 other H312 stones H68 , and put H935 them in H413 the place H8478 of those stones H68 ; and he shall take H3947 other H312 mortar H6083 , and shall plaster H2902 H853 the house H1004 .
|
|
43. "If the contamination reappears in the house after the stones have been pulled out, and after the house has been scraped and replastered,
|
43. And if H518 the plague H5061 come again H7725 , and break out H6524 in the house H1004 , after that H310 he hath taken away H2502 H853 the stones H68 , and after H310 he hath scraped H7096 H853 the house H1004 , and after H310 it is plastered H2902 ;
|
|
44. the priest must come and examine it. If the contamination has spread in the house, it is harmful mildew; the house is unclean.
|
44. Then the priest H3548 shall come H935 and look H7200 , and, behold H2009 , if the plague H5061 be spread H6581 in the house H1004 , it H1931 is a fretting H3992 leprosy H6883 in the house H1004 : it H1931 is unclean H2931 .
|
|
45. It must be torn down with its stones, its beams, and all its plaster, and taken outside the city to an unclean place.
|
45. And he shall break down H5422 H853 the house H1004 , H853 the stones H68 of it , and the timber H6086 thereof , and all H3605 the mortar H6083 of the house H1004 ; and he shall carry them forth H3318 out of H413 H4480 H2351 the city H5892 into H413 an unclean H2931 place H4725 .

46. Whoever enters the house during any of the days the priest quarantines it will be unclean until evening.
|
46. Moreover he that goeth H935 into H413 the house H1004 all H3605 the while H3117 that it is shut up H5462 shall be unclean H2930 until H5704 the even H6153 .
|
|
47. Whoever lies down in the house is to wash his clothes, and whoever eats in it is to wash his clothes.
|
47. And he that lieth H7901 in the house H1004 shall wash H3526 H853 his clothes H899 ; and he that eateth H398 in the house H1004 shall wash H3526 H853 his clothes H899 .
|
|
48. "But when the priest comes and examines it, if the contamination has not spread in the house after it was replastered, he is to pronounce the house clean because the contamination has disappeared.
|
48. And if H518 the priest H3548 shall come in H935 H935 , and look H7200 upon it , and, behold H2009 , the plague H5061 hath not H3808 spread H6581 in the house H1004 , after H310 H853 the house H1004 was plastered H2902 : then the priest H3548 shall pronounce the house clean H2891 H853 H1004 , because H3588 the plague H5061 is healed H7495 .

49. He is to take two birds, cedar wood, scarlet yarn, and hyssop to purify the house,
|
49. And he shall take H3947 to cleanse H2398 H853 the house H1004 two H8147 birds H6833 , and cedar H730 wood H6086 , and scarlet H8144 H8438 , and hyssop H231 :
|
|
50. and he is to slaughter one of the birds over a clay pot containing fresh water.
|
50. And he shall kill H7819 H853 the one H259 of the birds H6833 in H413 an earthen H2789 vessel H3627 over H5921 running H2416 water H4325 :
|
|
51. He will take the cedar wood, the hyssop, the scarlet yarn, and the live bird, dip them in the blood of the slaughtered bird and the fresh water, and sprinkle the house seven times.
|
51. And he shall take H3947 H853 the cedar H730 wood H6086 , and the hyssop H231 , and the scarlet H8144 H8438 , and the living H2416 bird H6833 , and dip H2881 them in the blood H1818 of the slain H7819 bird H6833 , and in the running H2416 water H4325 , and sprinkle H5137 H413 the house H1004 seven H7651 times H6471 :

52. He will purify the house with the blood of the bird, the fresh water, the live bird, the cedar wood, the hyssop, and the scarlet yarn.
|
52. And he shall cleanse H2398 H853 the house H1004 with the blood H1818 of the bird H6833 , and with the running H2416 water H4325 , and with the living H2416 bird H6833 , and with the cedar H730 wood H6086 , and with the hyssop H231 , and with the scarlet H8144 H8438 :
|
|
53. Then he is to release the live bird into the open countryside outside the city. In this way he will make atonement for the house, and it will be clean.
|
53. But he shall let go H7971 H853 the living H2416 bird H6833 out of H413 H4480 H2351 the city H5892 into H413 the open H6440 fields H7704 , and make an atonement H3722 for H5921 the house H1004 : and it shall be clean H2891 .
|
|
54. "This is the law for any skin disease or mildew, for a scaly outbreak,
|
54. This H2063 is the law H8451 for all manner H3605 of plague H5061 of leprosy H6883 , and scurf H5424 ,
|
|
55. for mildew in clothing or on a house,
|
55. And for the leprosy H6883 of a garment H899 , and of a house H1004 ,
|
|
56. and for a swelling, scab, or spot,
|
56. And for a rising H7613 , and for a scab H5597 , and for a bright spot H934 :
|
|
57. to determine when something is unclean or clean. This is the law regarding skin disease and mildew."
|
57. To teach H3384 when H3117 it is unclean H2931 , and when H3117 it is clean H2889 : this H2063 is the law H8451 of leprosy H6883 .
|
